FACT Malawi is inviting youth leaders from youth led organizations to attend a one-day conference at crossroads hotel Blantyre. The conference is titled Know, Understand, Share and Act (KUSA) HIV Youth Conference from 9am to 3pm on Tuesday, 22nd February, 2022.

  1. Background information

With funding from UNAIDS under Cities Fast Track, FACT Malawi is implementing a project titled Keeping the Dream Alive, HIV Cities Fast Track. The project is providing HIV testing to young people with a focus on sexually active young couples. The project is also providing information and services on youth friendly sexual and reproductive health services as well as STI screening.The project focuses on college students with the goal of increasing the demand for HIV testing services. Currently, we have been to BIU, Soche Technical, Blantyre Teachers College, PACT, MUBAS and MCA.

As part of the project, we would like to bring together young people who are working on HIV and AIDS from Blantyre and surrounding districts to a one-day conference. The purpose of the conference is to create a platform for conversation and networking on what roles young people can play as we target the 95-95-95 goals. We believe that this is going to lead to establishment of sustainable partnerships within the city which will help to reduce replication of projects, and to better sharing of roles and responsibilities.

2.Theme: Creating Healthy Working Relationships Towards Ending HIV as an Epidemic by 2030


3.1. Must be working in HIV and AIDS prevention or related fields for a youth organization based in Blantyre or surrounding districts

3.2. Must be aged between 18-30

3.3. Must be prepared to make a 5 minutes presentation on the work you do
